If it swims, chances are Mark Zona knows how to catch it. Zona -- or simply "Z" as he is known throughout the fishing world -- has been fooling fish with a rod and reel since he was old enough to walk.
He fished his first bass tournament when he was just nine years old and immediately knew the fishing business was his calling. Since then his journey through the fishing industry has included positions in retail marine sales, professional fishing, corporate promotions and instructional seminars.
Mark is the host of Zona's Awsome Fishing Show which airs on the Outdoor Channel every Friday at 8:00 p.m. EST and is also co-host of the Bassmasters television show on ESPN.
Greg Hackney from Gonzales Louisiana fishes both the B.A.S.S Elite Series and the FLW Series and has won on both Circuits. Greg is known for his shallow water prowess and is always a threat anytime he launches his boat.
Among Greg's accomplishments are: FLW Angler of the Year (2005); BASS Rookie of the Year (2004); Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League Big Bass Award (1998), One of Two People to Qualify for the Bassmaster Classic and the FLW Cup for 2008; Holds the Record for the Heaviest 3-Day Weigh-In for any FLW Tournament (2008); Tied the Record for Heaviest Single Day Weigh-In for any FLW Tournament (2008); Won Forest Wood Cup (2009).
Greg Has won more than $1.1 million fishing professionally. He is also an avid deer hunter during the offseason.
From successfully competing in club competition, to earning a spot on the Idaho State Team, to making it to the federation championship, and finally securing a tour card by winning the whole thing, Brandon Palaniuk is all in on the professional bass fishing tournament trail. At the age of 25, he had done more than most fishermen have done in a lifetime. After winning the Federation Nation National Championship which gave him a berth into both the Elite Series and the 2011 Bassmaster Classic, there was no looking back. And after missing only 2 cuts in the 2011 Elite season, he returned to the Bassmaster Classic in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
After an extremely successful co-angler career in which he climbed his way up the tournament circuit ladder, Blaylock moved to the front of the boat as a pro in 2009. It did not take long for Blaylock to show off his fishing talent, taking him only three tries in 2009 before winning his first Tour event (Lake Norman). Since joining the Tour as a boater, he has finished in the top-10 several times and Blaylock’s highest finish as a pro in the Angler of the Year race came in 2011 (14th).
Ray Scheide began fishing with FLW in 1995 and claimed his first victory in 1998 at a BFL event at Lake Eufaula. He eventually started fishing the Tour events in 2004, winning his first Tour event at Lake Okeechobee his rookie season.
Ironically, Scheide met his wife Michelle at the Walmart where he won a Tour event. They have two children. Scheide says his favorite bodies of water are Lakes Okeechobee and Guntersville and enjoys hunting when he’s not fishing.
